Oliver Foeste, CPA, CA, brings more than a decade of financial reporting and executive experience across sectors including resource-based, construction, manufacturing, technology and real estate.

Oliver oversees business advisory, financial and technical advisory, and practice management. He has assisted with CFO services, IFRS conversions, US GAAP reporting, outsourced controllership, income tax provisions, multi-jurisdiction consolidations, and financial and accounting solutions for large and small clients. Previously, Oliver held senior management and executive positions in multinational and small capitalization companies listed in Canada and the US. At Deloitte, where he led audit and assurance engagements for private and public companies, and at Walsh King Chartered Accountants  he prepared tax returns and financial statements for private clients. When not paddling off beaches along the West Coast, Oliver spends time with  family and friends, reads history and biographies, travels and hikes.

Darren Prins, CPA, CA, has extensive experience in corporate development, capital markets, mergers & acquisitions, financial reporting, auditing, risk management, budgeting and forecasting, as well as international tax planning.

Darren has served as Chief Financial Officer for TSX, TSX Venture and NYSE listed companies, as well as privately-held entities, across multiple industries including mining, oil & gas, agriculture and private equity. As CFO, Darren has led a variety of capital markets initiatives and oversaw several mergers & acquisitions transactions. Earlier in his career, Darren worked at Ernst & Young, where he led audit engagements across a variety of industries. Darren graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance Major), and when not in the office, he can be found competitively racing sailboats in the beautiful coastal waters of Vancouver, kite boarding in Hawaii or enjoying a round of golf…pretty much anywhere.

Cameron Lonn, CPA, CA, is Tax Principal at Invictus Accounting Group LLP with a wealth of experience in income tax planning and compliance for Canadian and cross-border businesses, trusts and individuals. He has worked with small and large public and private companies across a myriad of industries including real estate, manufacturing, mining and cannabis. He is passionate about ensuring that his clients’ objectives are met efficiently and effectively.

Aman Darred, CISA, is a Director, Risk and Compliance Services with Invictus Accounting Group LLP. Aman has over eight years of experience serving clients across several industries including technology, financial services, life sciences, and mining. Aman specializes in IT risk, and has led IT general controls audits, SOC1/SOC2/SOC3 attestation engagements, IT risk and controls reviews, IT project assurance projects, and agreed upon procedures engagements for data conversions. Before joining Invictus, Aman worked at KPMG, and Ernst & Young in their respective IT Risk Advisory practices. Aman holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University. Outside of work, Aman enjoys participating in team sports, keeping active with his son, and keeping up with the latest business and technology news.

Amolak Nijjar, CPA, CA, is a Director, Advisory Services with Invictus Accounting Group LLP and has 18 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, assurance, and advisory services. Before joining Invictus, Amolak worked as the finance lead for a real estate development company, negotiating land sales and partnerships and leading board reporting. Prior to that, he worked in Corporate Development for a credit union evaluating mergers, divestitures, and strategic partnerships. Amolak was also an Audit Manager at Ernst & Young LLP where he led large multi-country IFRS and US GAAP assurance engagements. Amolak holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University. Outside of the office you will find Amolak strolling the seawall or planning his next travel adventure.

Marie, CPA, CMA, CIA, is Director, Risk and Compliance Services, and leads risk-based advisory engagements and SOX/ICFR compliance engagements. Marie combines 10 years of experience in industry, with five years of experience at pwc in the Audit & Assurance group, in France and Canada.

Marie has experience managing cross-border internal audit engagements, governance reviews, regulatory compliance audits and operational audits in the financial services, manufacturing, and mining industries. She performed operational audits in various areas including procurement, project health checks, systems implementations, data retention and management, and capital and liquidity management.

Marie is passionate about championing risk management practices and supporting organizations bringing a practical approach to internal controls and process improvements.

When she is not at the office, you can find her outdoors, usually on the mountains, hiking or skiing, and spending time with her friends and family.

Mary Braun, CPA, CA, is a Director, Advisory Services with Invictus Accounting Group. She has ten years of accounting experience working with public and private clients, filing under ASPE, IFRS, and US GAAP. Mary began her career at Deloitte and has spent the last six years in industry roles working for multi-jurisdictional companies including Colliers International, Outcrop Gold Core, and Audrey Capital Corporation. She also holds a Bachelor of Science and has five years of professional research experience.

Michael Fraser is a Director, People and Culture at Invictus Accounting Group. Michael oversees the full-cycle recruitment process at Invictus, including the ongoing recruitment of CPA students for Invictus’ unique CPA training program. At Invictus, Michael is involved with all people and culture initiatives, including training and development, health and safety, and supporting team culture. Michael holds a Bachelor of Education Degree and a Diploma in Human Resources Management. Michael enjoys skiing, hiking and travelling in his free time.

Tom Gaston is a Director, Advisory Services with Invictus Accounting Group. He has ten years of accounting experience working with public and private clients under both IFRS and UK GAAP. Before joining Invictus, Tom worked at Ernst & Young in Manchester, UK, in the assurance practice, before moving to a financial reporting role in industry for an international engineering company. During this time in industry, Tom was able to work in both Manchester and Toronto before settling in Vancouver. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Loughborough University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. When not at the office Tom can be found playing tennis at various spots around Vancouver or hiking on the North Shore.
